Cardinals squeak bye Pirates to capture 2nd round of playoffs…….

In a nerve racking game both teams played solid defense as a pitching match-up between William (Mojo) Morgan and Anthony (Big Hands) Martino took center stage. Both pitchers would not let the other guy get the upper hand as both players did their best to keep the other team off balance. It took to the bottom of the 7th inning when the Cardinals were able to score a run and move on to the Championship round. This was a well played game with each team playing solid defense. A couple of defensive highlights for the Cardinals were Cole Hardy’s double play and two big catches by Sean Franco in right field. Also Nick Roditis made a solid play at 2nd base in the top of the 7th inning to keep the Pirates off base as George Putykewycz closed out the game.
